| Size when
packed
Cramming all your overnight gear into a 15 litre sack can be tricky. The balloonbed packs away to a volume of around 0.2 litres. This is smaller than a tin of beans or less than 4 mars-bars (but only weighing 100g). A 3/4 piece of foam carry mat on the other hand rolls away to a volume of about 1.5 litres. That's 7 times more space taken up in your rucksack! |

| Comfort Sleeping on a piece of foam carry mat can be cold and uncomfortable. The balloonbed provides you with a cushion of air from the cold hard ground giving you much greater comfort and better insulation. |
